Semaglutide is a GLP-1 medication on the market to assist in Type 2 Diabetes. It is also being used to assist in weightloss. At Resurrection Health, your journey with semaglutide starts with a consult with our medical provider. You will see us weekly for the injection, medical oversight including measurements, vitals and valuable teaching to support this prescription medication and your goals.
What are the side effects?
Semaglutide can cause stress on the GI system including constipation, diarrhea, and nausea. These are the general symptoms that may be expected while on this medication. Our team will guide your through with teaching and resources, including our IV Hydration and Gut Health Protocol to offset these symptoms.
Who can receive Semaglutide?
After discussing your medical history, review of lab work and your goals, our provider and you will decide if semaglutide is a good fit for your weightloss goals. The contraindications to semaglutide include a history of pancreatic cancer and thyroid cancer.
What should I expect in your 12 week weight-loss program?
Resurrection Health is determined to support you throughout your journey to risk reduction with weightloss. You will see our provider monthly and our nursing staff weekly for the injection.
