The Value Of A Concierge Nurse
If you have ever been on vacation traveling in an unfamiliar city or country, you may have discovered that consulting with a Concierge was invaluable to your stay in the area. A “Concierge” is usually a hotel employee whose job it is to discuss your interests and needs and help you develop a personal plan in achieving your goals in a foreign land. A Concierge bases their recommendations on what is best for you as an individual because they want you to have a wonderful time and enjoy your stay. You could say being a Concierge is very similar to being a coach; a person who has the skills, time and expertise to assist you in having a great outcome.
Concierge Nursing is kind of like advising people on vacation. A good Concierge realizes you may only have this one time to experience a city, as you have only one body, and that you may feel lost in the foreign land of medical jargon and quick remedies. Concierge Nursing, or “Nursing Coach,” is designed to assist clients by helping them target their health concerns and creating a plan for better health and fitness. It is a strategy developed together between a client and coach to achieve optimum health and fitness. A common goal for our clients is to feel better, perhaps look better, and to get the most out of the body they have been given. Considering the whole person- body, mind and soul- is crucial to finding the best plan for each individual.
IV vitamin therapy and vitamin injections are tools available to support your health. Although oral vitamins and supplements may be helpful in improving your health, our bodies only absorb 30% when taken orally while 90% of vitamins are absorbed intravenously or intramuscularly. IV vitamin therapy is an effective way to nourish your cells. Many people find IV vitamin infusions as a great way to optimize their health as it supports things such as energy, immunity, bone strength, hair loss and weight control.
We all want to feel better. A common concern in our fast-paced world seems to be lack of energy. How often do we hear our friends, family members or co-workers repeatedly say; “I’m so tired?” How often do we hear ourselves utter those words? There seems to be a pandemic of fatigue all around us. Concierge nurses listen to your energy depletion issues and can help you create a plan. There may be other reasons for low energy besides stress and a hectic lifestyle. Resurrection Health offers diagnostics (such as blood tests) that may point to a deficiency in your body that is causing chronic fatigue.
Nurse coaching can help clients enjoy life more fully. If we don’t have the energy to get off the couch, we may be creating a vicious cycle with our mental health (depression) which can decrease our ability to appreciate the wonder and beauty of nature or the goodness of the people around us. A nourished body supports a nourished soul.
These last 3 years, since the COVID pandemic wreaked havoc on our society, most of us would like to find ways to boost our immunity to protect against not only COVID, but other viruses and contagions around us. Concierge nurses can advise on antioxidants to increase our immunity as well as other ideas to protect us from germs.
Brain health and support can also be addressed by a Nurse Concierge. Infusions have been developed to improve cognition the last several years which many clients have found helpful in focusing and memory improvement.
So many of us struggle with our weight, whether it be a few extra pounds that we have put on over the holidays or a life-long battle with the scale, there are supplements available to increase metabolism. These supplements can help shed pounds, especially when paired with exercise and good dietary choices.
Concierge Nursing is done under the supervision of a medical doctor. If you have special health issues or concern, there is availability to have a telehealth conference with our physician or nurse practitioner to implement a plan to support you through your specific medical conditions.
We all know there is not one magic quick fix or easy answer to a perfect body. The nurses at Resurrection Health don’t just see a body, we see the whole person made in the image of God.
